Bernt van der EICHEN (active late 17th c): 12 tapestries featuring motifs from the Scanian War of 1675-79 against Sweden. The final goal - to win back Scania - was not reached as no European state would allow both sides of Oresund to be ruled by the same power again. The new series was woven in Copenhagen from 1684-93 by the Flemish weaver Bernt van der Eichen.
