FLCHIN825 – Applied Linguistics and Teaching Chinese as a Second/Foreign Language
This course is designed to help graduate students in Chinese Studies to have a comprehensive understanding about what position of Mandarin Chinese stands among foreign languages of the world and foreing language education in U.S.A. Topics involve, but not limited to, Teaching Chinese as a Second/Foreign/Heritage language in America, issues regarding ways to incorporate Chinese Linguistics, Classical Literature, Modern Literature, Culture and Language, textbook compilation, and multimedia-enhanced curriculum design and implementation, National Standards for Foreing Language Learning.
