The purpose of Acting Workshop III is to develop skills in manifesting
a clear struggle onstage. One of the primary tools on this journey
towards manifesting the struggle will be the 12 Guideposts described by
Michael Shurtleff in his book, AUDITION. Clearly, your understanding of
why people do the things that they do will be invaluable. The heart of
the work will be identifying, cultivating, and executing an effective
struggle. Acting Workshop III is for advanced actors. Students are
admitted by audition only. Prerequisite: THA 230, plus an audition.
