ETRUSCAN Anonymous: These three warriors are part of a group of statuettes that were probably used as roof decorations of a public or religious building. The warriors were probably grouped in pairs fighting face to face as part of a pediment decoration. The rounded masses and flowing and solidly constructed lines of the bodies are characteristic of Ionian-Etruscan modeling but the facial traits of the warriors are Archaic in style.
