One of the first maps that shows the earliest road development in Bernal Heights. At the top-center is Pioneer Race Track. The area around it has no streets plotted due to the abundance of squatters and ownership disputes. The curving road below that is Serpentine Avenue, and followed the path of the creek. Holly Circle is developed, and above it is Cortland Avenue connecting Mission with Bayview. The east-west road shown above the word "Bernal" was never built.
