Formerly an auto repair shop, the bakery opened in October 2010 selling "Panaderia & Pizzeria, A worker owned co-op". The name comes from a young priest, "Jose Maria Arizmendiarrieta" who inspired and help found the Mondragon co-ops in the Basque country of Spain in the 1950s.
