Ralph W. Putzker. 1959. Professor of Art Education; Chair of the Art Department. BA (1951), MA (1952), Ed.D. (1969) University of California, Berkeley; advanced studies Universidad de Michoacan; Universidad de San Carlos in Guatemala. Putzker was a film set designer, photographer, and light designer. He was one of four professors in the United States to develop a course on creativity in the 1970s. He and his wife Heidi Putzker (an assistant professor of Education who worked at the Frederic Burk School) conducted seminars for Spanish speaking nursery school teachers.
