John J. Sheedy. 1958. Professor of English and Creative Writing; Dean of Undergraduate Studies. BA (1944) University of Washington; MA (1956) Stanford University; advanced studies at University of California, Berkeley. Sheedy was the first to serve as Dean for Undergraduate Studies as a newly defined position in 1966, reflecting the systematic concern of SF State to focus on development and growth of undergraduate studies with the increased enrollment from the Boomer generation entering college in 1965. Last listed in 1969-1970.
