Urban G. Whitaker, Jr. 1954. Professor of International Relations; Dean of Undergraduate Studies. BA (1947) Occidental College; Ph.D. (1954) University of Washington; language studies at College of Chinese Studies, Peking, China 1947-1948. Whitaker was a prolific speaker on American foreign policy, international, and the United Nations and radio commentator for KPFA (Berkeley), KPFK (Los Angeles), and WBAI (New York). During the 1960-1961 United Nations General Assembly, Whitaker interviewed delegates of all 99 member nations about Chinese representation in the U.N..
