NEO-BABYLONIAN Anonymous (625 BCE - 539 BCE): One of a series of cuneiform tablets. Describes Nebuchadnezzar's defeat of the Egyptians at Charchemish in 605 BCE; his control over Syria and Palestine; and the 1st Babylonian capture of Jerusalem on 15-16 March 597 BCE.
