Juan GOMEZ DE LA MORA (act. early 17th c): The oldest building on the Plaza Major was the Casa de la Panaderia which was begun in 1590 by Dieogo Sillerio. It was destoyed in 1672 with only the portal and the arcade remaining of the original building. The arcade had originally been open and served as a market and headquarters for the Baker's guild. It is decorated with frescos.
